Herbs and spices, healthy way of preparing food.

Both herbs and spices enhance the flavor of foods, and many have medicinal or nutritional properties. Spices are the aromatic parts of plants that thrive in tropical regions – usually the dried buds, fruits berries, roots or bark. Herbs are the leaves of fresh or dried plants. Today and ever-widening range of fresh and dried herbs, and packaged spices, is available in supermarkets. Cooking with herbs can make a significant difference to a dish. Fresh herbs can be easily grown at home in the garden, or in a pot of window box . For spices we normally use: paprika, chilli, coriander, ginger, galangal, cardamom, cinnamon, vanilla, peper,…
