Healthy beans, lentils, peas and grains

Eaten for millennia, beans, lentils, peas and grains are still the most important staple foods in many countries around the world. They are delicious and nutritious and can be cooked in hundreds of different ways to make satisfying, healthy meals. In recent years, more and more interesting and unusual varieties have become readily available and make a wonderful addition to the kitchen repertoire.

We know different types of beans: Navy beans, flageolet beans, soissons, pinto beans, kidney beans, cannellini beans, chickpeas, black beans, black-eyed beans, borlotti beans, ful medames, aduki beans, mung beans, butter beans and lima beans, broad/fava beans, black and white soya beans.

Lentils and peas: red split lentils, green and brown lentils, puy lentils, yellow lentils, yellow and green split peas, marrowfat peas.
